Tornado Rips through Downtown Atlanta

everyone's sorry to JA that Luke's car got banged up lol. Sorry, I thought it was kinda funny.

But yeah, that REALLY sucks. Just how bad is it? Like, a little bondo and you won't even notice bad, or time to give me your turbo stuff and swap back to stock so insurance can get you guys the truck you've always wanted bad?

JA, i know some people that specialize in paintless dent repair. I can get you the info on Monday or Tuesday if you want. I know it's not exactly cheap, but they do a pretty good job.

Will that deal come over this way if I get back home and check my roof?

i don't see why not. i was gonna get them to fix my roof a while ago, but never had the cash to fix it. i can't really tell you how much it costs, though if i remember right, the guy was gonna charge me about $500 to do the whole car.

*edit*
Actually, you can go to their website. It's www.dentwizard.com. Our body shop at work contracts out to them.

It's looking like new-paint-job bad. The hail chipped the clearcoat all over the car, not just the roof. Luke just took some quick detailer to it and cleaned off the not-so-protective layer of dirt and saw that the hail did more damage than we thought.

ya that sucked i am in cabbagetown. It hit us with full force. Our room is prefectly fine but everyone else's window and roof were ripped off. My new house has 1 shattered window. but nothing too bad.

However, the corolla has leak in the transmission pan. Kory you u know where i can get a 2002 toyota corolla transmssion pan?

Wow - that's an eerie photo Eric!

We got a call around 3:15 to head to Six Flags to set up grid and help with setting up the course. Well, got to where 20 and 285 meet and got caught in a really bad hailstorm. Traffic was at a standstill (greedy bastids hogging the overpass to keep their cars from getting damaged) and we just got nailed. It was really scary - both the prospect of glass breaking and the fact that we were stuck and couldn't move forward. Called and someone told us that everyone had already left the lot because of the weather! Got home and the roof of the P5 is pretty heavily damaged. Looks like someone took a ballpeen hammer to it. :( Not sure about the carbon fiber hood - who knows what is happening under the paint. Thankfully no glass was broken...

We don't live that far from you, and we had no hail at all. I'm sorry to hear about it.

Just read a post from kevin about his miata and P5...golf ball sized dings & a torn top :(

Yah, it was when we were on 285/20. But there was hail along the side of the road near the North Springs Station exit and the one exit North of that. Once you passed that, there wasn't any on the ground...

What a terrible couple of days for weather. :(

Hope everyone is okay.

We sat on the couch and watched the coverage most of the day Saturday. We had multiple plans but it was storming like crazy everywhere we had planned to visit. Funny part, it didn't rain a single drop at our house. The sun was out as they were reporting a tornado just a few miles away. After our last two places being apartments, I cannot describe how nice it is to finally have a garage.

Pretty much. According to the neighbors here, golf ball sized hail fell for a good 3 minutes. The P5 and Miata received some pretty serious hail damage. The P5 has probably 100 dents along the top and side. The Miata suffered less as it was closer to the house, but has nice tear i then top. A friend was visititing for this weekend's auto-x. He'd just finished restoring is 90 E30, fresh paint and all. It too is now dented thanks to the hail. Argg.

:( stupid hail

Now we can have a hail damage meet. Lisa's car will fit right in! We had her car here on Sat., it got hit again. Mine was in Loganville where it got missed altogether. As old as Luke's car is, I wouldn't be surprised if it got totaled. Sorry for y'all's luck.

It's not near as bad as Kevin's P5...and his was immaculately clean...

Her poor car!!! Twice!

ONE DENT BABY!!! However, a few paint chips on the hood (my thoughts are those are from working on such a pebble filled road though)

I was lucky enough to park my car in the Harbor Freight warehouse when the storm came by.
The hail wasn't as bad as what I've seen in Kennesaw/Marietta.
