What have you done to your MSP today?

you guys are so wrong about traction in these cars , and are all over a AWD systems. AWD ain't all of that you guys think, is good I'm not saying the opposite but, i have 400whp+ i dont have all of that bad traction at all, and I'm using cheap tires, Nankangs, of course if you are racing from a stop youll need drag radials or slicks, but when you have a certain amount of HP you race rolling at a higher speed, thats how the big hp cars does it, like cobras, mustangs, vettes etc. i really dont experience a bad bad traction with my msp at all i might need better brand tires and thats it, i dont have wheel hop at all. Ive seen TBK Superprotege on videos on the track kicking AWD and RWD cars butt. beating vettess, cobras and even evos. so I'm not really worried about AWD. with good tires and good suspension you are straight !!!

at 12 psi on the stock turbo, i spun thru first and section gear. there is no way in hell you dont have traction issues. the spool up time from that large of turbo will help, but i do not believe you put all of that power to the ground.

This is the reason that I am going with a realistic daily driver build. It is going to take a lot of time and money to get my car at a 12psi reliable daily driver. Sure with the motor I have I will be able to easily boost beyond that, however is it worth it for what I use it for? Probably not no.

i use my car as a daily driver, since i dont have any other car, i dont understand why you guys are so worry about daily driving a built motor, i drive mine everyday with no problems is reliable, is economical when you drive normal, feels the same than before on low boost, thats how i drive it everyday, and when i want to have fun or race just hit hi boost button and thats it.. if you take care of your car and not beat it everyday with proper maintenance it will last as long as you take care of it..

also your turbo takes a while to spool my turbo is going to be fully spooled between 3.5 and 4k. rich makes 277 and is running fuzion zri's i was talking to him about traction last night. if he mashes it in 1st or 2nd theres no traction. Im pretty sure i see alot more higher hp cars at the track then on the street racing from a roll. i enjoy racing from a roll dont get me wrong but seriously from a stop fwd is s*** pain and simple.

has your car even gotten over to spain yet?

I never said that I was worried about driving daily on a built motor. I bought a built motor. Its just other things that go when you run higher boost (i.e. The transmission). I am getting a welded lsd, exedy stage 1 clutch, and lightened fly wheel. However the gears can not take much more than 12psi reliably.

Of course from 0, i cant do nothing without drag radials or slicks, but from mid second gear and up i dont have any problems, when i race, i race from 3rd gear and up. and its perfect, last time i had my car i raced an STI heavy modded from a mid 2nd gear roll and i beat him by 4 car length, and i was spinning tires on 2nd and a little of bit in 3rd, and i was gone from the sti.. i really dont see alot of races from 0, all of them race in highway and rolling !!!

Really? I always thought 300 whp was the limit for the transmission, and I can't see that amount of power being made at 12 psi.

not yet, my dad is installing a bunch of stuff i recently bought online to the car, since hes coming at the end of these month, and the container takes another 28 days to get here to spain.. im so desperate to have my car back..

Superprotege Have Tokikos Blue and Springs, and some msp sway bars, thats it. search for it, and nead his signature, youll be surprised he doesnt have anything special and is kicking ass in the tracks..

exactly you were spinning in 2nd from a roll thats traction problems

+1

Around 12psi with all the supporting mods I will have I'll be around the 270 mark I would imagine. Like I said I want to do it reliably. You know as well as i do saying the trans can take this number then, driving around with it maxed out might not be a good idea.

kicker made 261 at 11psi pinging. im pretty sure with some more breathing mods 300 at 12 psi is achievable. 505 made 277 at 12. im pretty sure with the new intake mani and some cams you can do it at 12 psi.

Not to mention kicker had 9.0:1 compression, I'll be 8.5:1

I was just saying because I'm up to 10-11 psi and I sure as hell know I'm not making anywhere near those numbers. I also have a relatively stock turbo, but still...

was kicker ona dyno jet or dyno dynamics. dyno jets read much higher.

exactly you were spinning in 2nd from a roll thats traction problems

but look at the tires I'm using Ryan ? Nankang Ultra Sport NS-II tires, the RX-8 Wheels are helping me alot since they are heavier than the stock 17s. i know when i put nice tires some drag radials i wont have that problem. but like i said, i only race on 3rd gear rolls and there i have no problem. i beat the sti by a 4 car length from a 2nd gear roll spinning tires.. i like FWD i really don't feel or have any problems with it. as soonest i get my car here in Spain ill make some videos of me rolling on the highway and from a stop rolls. and speedometer videos, youll be impress how crazy fast the needle moves..
