I've read several postings by folks indicating synthetics should not be used for 5k on these engines. Is there a good online reference that bolsters this? Have folks specifically complained about leaks or issues if they went directly to Royal Purple or Mobile 1? I've had great luck with M1 and aside from forums on older engines (like 1971 Corvettes) this is the first place I've seen anything negative on the use of synthetics on modern engines.
Appreciate any information here as I'm coming-up on my first change and am leaning toward synthetic...
What ever the manual says man. Mazda engineers know what the **** their talking about. They Designed the car from scratch. Think about it..
their is no break in. This cars are broken in from factory..
I always used full synthetic from day 1 in my srt4 since it came from the factory with mobile 1. With my Ms3 is full synthetic really nessesary? I am tired of shelling out the extra bucks if not nessesary. I dont race my car, never rev past upper 5k's rpms.
Based on what I've read about how direct injection engines trash their oil, there's no way I would use anything but a good synthetic. ....
