2009 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Revealed

so? hyundai's made pretty good cars for a while now. call me crazy, but personally, i couldn't care less what badge is on a car if it's good...i guess i just like cars too much.

and i don't think people who drive mazdas are really in a position to be brand snobs anyway.

+1 Not to mention if you think that Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc. aren't taking styling ques from one another, you are crazy. Case in point:

I wasn't a fan of this car company when they first came out (who was really) but now, I have been impressed with how far and fast they have come up. Take a seat in a newer Hyundai and they are pretty decent.

Still not something I am looking to buy but you have to give them credit.

I think they tried their own stylings and ended up with the XG350. At least I can stand to look at this one without my eyes aching. But it really is a blatant Lexus / BMW ripoff.

the front looks like the new g35/ls460, the back looks like a bmw.. doesnt koreans ever create their own stylings

I guess having a very creative, innovative car design team would cost Hyundai a lot of money, which would translate into a higher car price, becoming a key ingredient to take them out of the market they are targeting. I call it the "is not, but looks like and is cheaper" type market (boom01)

BMW has had the same or similar design sinces the 90s. Its all the other brands that copy them.

It might be from korea but the quality and reliability equals or even beats other high end car makers.

LMAO, what a great way to put that.(glare)

Hell all car makers are taking cues from each other. Ford Mazda Toyata chevy Benz Dodge,......

Almost every car that comes out has SOMETHING that looks like another.

That is a good point and I agree, but I tell you, the Mazda5 is my first Mazda (and yes, it is only a damn Mazda5!) but wife and I are very happy with that thing. The design is very unique, original, versatile and looks great for the type of car it is (a people hauler). It is not a knock-off of some other higher-end car (or minivan, or whatever you wanna call it).

For the 2+ years that I have owned, most people who's seen it has had positive comments about it (except the occasional guys who have said "your car is cute" or "where is the Soccer Ball sticker" :D).

Now, for the KIA Rondo, a close competitor, yes, it has more toys for the buck, but in other forums you never read something like "whoa, I really like its design" or "drives great", it is more of "looks weird", "from the back looks like an X5" or "ugly, but has a 6cyl engine and fits the same # of people for the price of a Mazda5"

Too much (blah) but Mazda is very original in design and technology at least.

first off son! i have a g37s and a clk 500 also a mazda cx7 and the speed. so i can judge hyundai however i feel like it! (evil)

i'm not your son, and while your internet list of cars is impressive, you're obviously really hung up on the badge...if that's your thing, ok. but like i said, i'm a car guy.

And all mini vans are knockoffs! (glare)

(sssh) I heard the same about mid-size sedans (all car brands). It was found that all of them had 4 doors, regular size trunk, seating for 5 and a front engine, among other striking similarities ;)

its still a hyundai

Although they're not cars that will make your neighbors jealous, hyundai actually makes quality automobiles. You absolutely can't beat a 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty.

My dad's driven a Sante-Fe since 2001-2 to near 100k miles, and to date he has not had a single, and I repeat single problem with it. Not even the tires have needed to be replaced. The dealership is absolutely baffled. That car walks on water.
