will this fit on a MS3 - 42 offset 7 width 215/50

trying to see if a 42 offset rim 7 inch wide with 215/50 will fit for my winter setup.

came across a cheap set of 17s from a friend and just trying to gauge if i can use it for a winter setup.

just not sure if ill have rubbing issues or not. i am not dropped but i am thinking of doing cobb springs in the spring.

I think you will have no problems fitting it. I just checked the offset on my Sport Edition CD and it is 48 but the tires are 225/50. Your tire is 5 mm narrower on each side (10 mm total) and your offset is 6 mm lower. The 1 mm difference should be no problem at all.

thanks, that seems good math and should work.

I think I am just going to attempt it and see what happens. worst case i just lose money in mounting the tires. I basically got these rims for free so i would hate to buy anything else since its just a winter setup.
