Who loves their msp

I've got the 50mm with 11psi spring and I'm running 8.5 psi boost. The sound depends on a lot of factors for the tial, thats why its so sweet no two sound the same.

Mine has just a loud KCSHOO sound at 5psi stock boost..... lol hard to type out sounds.... and if I boost up to 8 or 9 it does kind of a double, Loud KCSHOO sound immediately followed by slightly quieter high pitched CHEII..... LOL I dont know how to describe it. Basically because of the stiff spring on the low boost it lets a little out then bounces shut and opens up again. It works good though, stops surge and doesn't open at idle. I highly recommend stiff springs, sounds a lot better then I'm sure you are thinking by my typing.

If you want to hear the best tial ever, search for supra tial on youtube. Theres one with like 35psi and does like a tripple blow off and compressor surge all the same time its wicked.

That is the one I was interested in so thank you for your very descriptive review. Lol. Yeah, spelling sounds is pretty challenging. I wonder how it would sound on my girl since I'm running the dual bpv/bov set up.

Well prepare for more descriptions lol. Before I changed to the tial I had the plastic intake pipe and the little plastic pipe coming off the turbo. I just coupled it into my hard pipes because I knew I was gonna eventually get rid of the BPV so why custom make hard pipes with holes for that right.

So anyway when i got the tial on before I finished the hard pipes i was running both. It's wasn't too much quieter, it just didn't do the double thing. The stock BPV starts letting air out at about 5psi so if you have them both on its gonna discharge all that air pretty quick. So you're gonna get a loud KCSHOO followed by the sound of air travelling through a pipe for a couple seconds which is the bpv.

But the one thing about having one good VTA BOV is that its not letting that air out constantly(if it's set up right), which means stronger boost, but also more risk of overboost. It's a love hate thing but you just have to keep an eye on that boost gauge for the first little while. But you're gonna have the best of both worlds. A loud sound, no surge and added safety feature.

nice i cant wait to get the long block in so i can start tearing it apart and get it ready for rods, pistons, lightweight flywheel, clutch, gt28rs, the cam, and the intake mani. this car is going to be beast i cant wait till its done

I dont know how well out engines could handle this but if you are doing all that work i would look into a GT30 series turbo, that is if your doing it yourself, my i idont have the garage, tools, and a engine stand to do any of that stuff, and deff. not the money to get it done lol. and if you take that turbo you will see this behind you (gun) lol, it is a kick ass turbo im dynoing my car this sat, so i will see what a PnP stock intake mani with butterflies removed will add.

can you bring me his flywheel...(birthday) lol j/k

Im pretty sure you are the one that had a pic of some old dude with shirt that said something sweet onit and it was like it was in a scrable game.(if that makes any sense) but if you find me that shirt you can have my flywheel. lol

So far I've been using all my money buying stuff for it, already been to the track getting a 13.9 with it. Thats just with FMIC I had lying around and boost turned up with slicks lol. I have big plans for this one!!

wow 13.9 is nice i cant get that lol. i get a 14.3 but that was with street tires and hankooks too. I need a set of slicks or radials, but no traction till 3rd so it sucks

you will literally be kicking yourself at the difference once you get a good pair of slicks. Best I could get on street tires was 14.5, slap on the slicks and boom instant 13.9. Of course a lot of it depends on the driver and your launch. Don't get radials though its just a waste of money, you want full drag slicks! Put them on another set of rims and have them in your room so you can stare at them before bed. Thus dreaming of rippin down the track and having a bunch of girls at the end waiting to take their clothes off as they give you your timesheet................. lol.

But reaklly though with a good burn on streets the most i could launch was like 4500rpm without spinning. With the slicks I would easily just grab and go at 6.5-7 grand! Thats a huge difference!! Better bring an extra set of axels though ;)

I dont know how well out engines could handle i would look into a GT30 series turbo

its not the motor that im worried about. the motor could handle it fine with the proper parts. its the transmission that i dont feel like building. thats why im only shooting for 300hp, so i can still have decent power but i wont have to tear into the transmission and change gears and the lsd too.

if anything id get a transmission without lsd and drop it in so that would be one less thing i would have to worry about

Hmmmmm...sounds good to me. Thanks again for the info.

Only 300? I'm yet to see a stock block hold 300fwhp. The most I have seen was 277 with 505zoom, and 276 with pirana. Not to mention that they have every single bolt on money can buy as well as amazing tunes. I'm currently looking for a transmission from other cars with open diffs (i.e. mazda 626, ford probe) from a junk yard to do a swap.

if you would read you would see that im am starting to build a motor. trust me i know what this motor in stock form can and cant handle. =)

dam dude, with a good heat up of the streat tires i spin when i launch @ 2500rpm and i easy the cluth out i dont just pop it off, but ya man ill def. get the slicks for next season, whats a good size rim to use 15 or 16 and a good width that will work with the MSP.

just you wait till sat, im dynoing my car and im going to break 300 with the stock block, but not turbo. But no i wish i could but thats my new goal know, so im going to try do that.

The link is just the original pic, but the first shirt is the price of your Fidanza flywheel...the others are 14$....LOL

lol sounds like a deal. so the link is just a pic or is it a link to place to where you can buy the shirt. and hotling the shirt too, i forget what it says.

I just recently found this place....looks a little more reputable than the other one I found....plus they have a coffee mug....thats so comming my way

oh yeah and to get around firewall blocking at work go to babelfish and translate the link from something to english...and voila....sometimes its useful to be a techie

sorry but i dont see you beaking the stock block record. 505 had more mods then you with the disco potato at 12 lbs and he hit 277, or some where around you im not doubting your car i knwo its fast and ive seen your other dyno results but 505's car had the mam manifold, mam 3" s& j pipe, mam fmic, along with alot of other stuff i dont see you breaking his record.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure just so you didn't get into a bind and blow yourself up. 300 hp on a build long block should be accomplished without to much problem.
