Stuff Actually Worth Buying

Amen brother!
I have a good marinade if you like your steaks that way. It's very simple and no acid that will dry out the meat. Still comes out a juicy medium rare with good flavor.

Had to get another beer...rough week.
Ok. Get one bottle of worcheshire(sp) 10 or 12oz and one bottle of 10oz Kikkoman roasted garlic teriyaki. You will find it with the asian food. It's a purple bottle. Some places don't carry it. They will stop and I will find it at another place that didn't have it before. They key is use a gallon zip-lock bag and get all the air out and zip it up. Let marinade at least 4 hours. Right before putting on the grill I will put on McCormicks garlic and herb spice and a dash of grillmasters montreal steak seasoning.
IMO medium rare is the only way to go. The more you cook it,the tougher it gets.

We all have different tastes so I hope you like it. Let me know.

P.S.
As marinading. Every once and a while turn the bag to mix marinade so they will mix and not settle.

sounds good, i usually use worchershire sauce and such when making my steaks..... and steak shouldnt be cooked more than medium rare....absolutely delicious :D

The key is the Kikkoman garlic teriyaki. May not sound like a good combo, but it works. I've spent 15 years running restaurants in my time. Some use pinnapple juice and the acid takes away from the natural juices. This is so simple and the flavor is great...if you like your steaks marinaded.

Again, let me know how you like it. It could be just my tastes. May not work with yours.

sounds like something i'd enjoy and i know our local stores carry kikkoman so i'll have to keep this in mind next time i grill some steaks. thanks :D

i work on cars for a living and gear wrenches are worth there weight in gold to me. i have the regular ones, stubby, flex head, no angle, extra long and double flex head gear wrenches. i love the feel of them in my hand when they ratchet.

Xbox 360. My laptop. And I can't believe how lost I feel without all my tools. I didn't realize how much of a help they could be and made the dumb decision to not bring my drill, dremel, screwdrivers, etc to school with me.

i'm a geek, so i'll have to second having a laptop. windows, os x, linux, whatever floats your boat. i use xp at work and osx at home. no pc/mac snobbery here.

Electric tea kettle (almost instant hot water), my sushi knives (former chef), $12 bird feeder and hanger for the deck (soothing), down quilt (comfy winter and summer)....

I use that same marinade except I add a little teriyaki to it so that the meat will get a dark glaze on the outside. If you grill it you will taste a stronger smoky flavor due to the glaze.

Sounds good. Just Q'd some steaks last night. Damn good. Made some sauteed button mushrooms in some red wine, garlic.onion and beef broth to go with the steaks.
