Hey what's up fellow speed3 er's lol. Just curious to see if anyone has done this mod to their speed3. I think we would have to use a 9006 bulb but I might be wrong. So if anyone has done this mod to their speed3, I'm asking a favour if you don't mind posting any night pictures up.

Constructive criticism would be appreciated as well as honest opinions.

Thanks in advance :D

yes i have... people told me the bulbs were H11 when infact, mine were 9006. Anyhow, if you want the ebay i guy i use for HIDs, send me a PM. His kits have worked well for me the last 5 yrs. On the MS3, i started with 8K, moved to 4500K, and ended with 3500K Ion Yellow HID. I like the yellow the best.

Ill take some night time ones this evening for you.

Looks nice, but I thought it would look much more yellow than that ... hmmmmmm looks good though, and the low beams are the stock hid bulbs ???

Great pics, I like (thumb). Excuse my ignorants, but I would consider blue HID fogs for my car, but are they legal?

Yea I think all colors are legal as long as they are HIDs, I've even seen purple ones here in miami so, Im assuming the blue one's should be fine, unless the state that you're in has exceptions. But, the yellow lights that he was talking about were for the fog lights, but if you already knew that then nevermind, hehe ^-^

My camera cannot pick up the dark golden yellow these put down, so youre just going to have to trust me. These are the darkest, most complete yellow, youre going to find. The blue hue is because of the ION coating on the HID bulbs. These bulbs are legal for the sake of being legal, however, any after market HID installed on your car, is against the law, nationwide.

My headlights use the stock HID bulbs.

4500K is as close to the stock headlight color you can get for your fogs... 6000K is like a light purple hue... 8000K is a light blue, 10000K is a dark blue and 12000K is a very dark purple.

My fogs are 3500K Yellow.

Thanks bro, I'll shop around and see what I can find, hopefully get some pics up too :D

how come I'm not surprised you said that?
can you explain why there's NO glare from the headlights?

Projectors dont glare, dumbshit... thats why they are the defacto standard of any HID conversion setup on the market. Now if youre referring to the fog lights, even stockers glare.. the HIDs that i have installed is the exact same length as a 9006 bulb. On top of that, there's already a glare inhibitor in place stock...

Wow, never heard "The Man" called a dumbshit before. I have seen "Smart ass" a few times though(dunno)

so lemme ask a n00b questions...if i want to do this to my car...all i need to change is the bulb? or do i need to change the housing as well?

A simple $100 HID can be found on ebay. Ive been using the same guy for years and his kits are good quality with excellent connectors. Ususally like $109 shipped and arrives in about a day. He has excellent RMAs if something is wrong. If you are interested PM me and ill send you a link to his online store.

The key is having a quality hid bulb and harness. Ive tried other kits on the market and their bulbs were less quality, from being longer than the bulb your replacing to having the prongs on the bulb housing not line up in the groove correctly.

You will need a 9006 kit, but verify this by climbing beneath the car and double checking the bulb. On the back of the bulb, it should be stamped with the light type.

Some said we have H-11's, but mine was equipped with 9006's.
