Full Boost on MS3?

Boost Driven

First thing I do need to state is I have searched on this topic and could not find an exact answer. I have confirmed for myself that holding the DSC button before starting the car will disable traction control. If someone with a boost gauge could please test to see if boost is not limited anymore, that would be great. I do not notice any difference.

Explain This

+1 ... boost is still limited in 1st and 2nd. The only way around this is tuning software. Either standalone or piggyback.
what about what blacksheepms3 guy posted....it lseems to work for me! check it

There's a free mod u can do to turn off ur traction control as well as ur dsc. press the dsc button for like 3 sec. (press and hold it still) then turn the ignition on while still holding on to the button. you will see your traction control off indicated by the car with squiglies image on the dash. There u go. 1st and 2nd is not limited anymore by dsc and traction control. It's free reign for ur ponies.

Thing is, I still get wicked wheelspin in 1st and 2nd when full WOT, so I don't know what good extra power will do unless we start investing in DOT race rubber. Which, is doable.

FYI, this is the case here in Vegas, but YMMV in other parts of the country, where roads may be less slick.

Ms3 Does Reduce Boost In 1st And 2nd As Part Of The Torque Management System, Alleviating Torque Steer. However Part Of This System Takes Readings From The Steering Position Sensor. If The Computer See's The Steering Wheel Straight Ahead It Reduces Less. It Is An Extremely Advanced Stystem.

Here is a quote from Bones got boost that explanes a but more since no one brought it up.

DOT rubber has been a pain to find since finding wheels to clear our brakes is a challenge.

i know just turning off the traction control wont turn off the boost limiter but the holding then starting may do something cuz i had a guy yelling at me on the highway saying he was some turbo nut and was telling me to try to do something with the botton to get full power but i just thought he was crazy.

(iagree)

I personally don't get the point... and also about the people who want to get 300 + WHP (450, 500) out of this car. No matter what anyone says, it's still an FWD. Unless all you're doing is driving the car on the drag strips, I can't see how the car would be drivable everyday.

I also think drag racing (and the people bragging about highway kills) is very dumb, so don't mind me. The only kind of racing I like is around the track. (and WRC!) *^_^*

I don`t agree with you there because if we had 350hp ,i`m sure we could give a good run to the upcoming EVO,STI, and the M3 for their money,by the way i will have 245`s on my car soon that should aleviate some of the spin on 1st and 2nd :-).Rear wheel spins just as much as a front probably more so,since more weight is carried by the front wheels allowing firmer grip.

When you accelerate the front end lifts and the back end drops. That is the rear wheel advantage.

I agree with you. 0-60 and drag times don't mean much to me either. The way this car pulls from 30mph and up is what I love about this car. Drag racing is hardly driving since all you do is see how fast you can go. Knowing how to brake, turn, and accelerate is where the real fun is. Auto-x & Rally FTW!

I turned off the dsc and tc from dead stop I wot. 1st gear =10psi no more. 2nd gear swung to 20psi then held 15. So there u go. it let go some of the boost limit on the 2nd when dsc and tc is off. I thinkk 1st being limited to 10psi is a good thing. Before my motor mount was installed I'd get massive wheelhop and that's only 10psi, how much more when it's full boost. atleast 2nd gets full boost when dsc and tc is off. anybody confirm this please. I know that's what I saw and I think i read someone sayin he saw the same thing.
