Driving home from a nice dinner out with the fam and I got a huge rock chip in the windshield.
Long story short, called the dealer and they were useless.
I called Ziebart (I am in no way affiliated with them, I cold called them) as I have never owned a car before that was good enough to fix a windshield. This is what they offered to do for me. YMMV
I brought the car in and they filled the chip free of charge to me. All they needed was the insurance slip and they filed through my insurance. I didn't have to do a thing. I sent my wife over at 8:30am and she was at home by 10:00am back to bed.
The idea is that insurance will cover the $119 for the chip repair instead of me paying $500 deductible in a few months and then they are replacing a windshield and performing a camera calibration.
Anyways, as the song goes, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
