ok so I ordered the type r lip for my car i know the lip is a little long width wise so what would i use to put the lip back together after i cut it i dont want to use fiberglass as it will crack first time i scrap thanks!

Thats pretty much it i guess. I know theres some plastic welding material but not sure how well it works though

i read something about a 3m product but cant find what i was reading again i have no experience with fiberglass but it shouldnt be hard ive used other fillers and stuff so idk

Plastic weld look it up may work or just resin it

i looked up plastic weld but the welder gun thing is like 200$ so im not to interested in buying that for one time use and definitely just test fitting it first
What you can do if the lip is made of plastic and depending on how big the part is, is heat up a small section say in the very middle to the point where it will melt and push the lip together. It will still stay together and retain it's shape and when it cools you can cut, shave, mold it into shape. Of course if you never have done this, I would try practicing on something else similar to get the hang of it.
It's almost like plastic welding but you are compressing the plastic together in itself which will extrude the extra to the sides but like I stated you can cut the extra stuff off and shape it to how you want it.

Ill try it on the like material if all else fails ill fiberglass it

I got it in today looks like its too long On the sides what should i cut the plastic with?

would i need an adhesion promoter for the fiberglass resin to adhere to the plastic?

Cut the ends they were way to long using permatex plastic weld to put it back together

Permatex plastic weld s*** doesnt work on poly urethane cause the ends just broke when i was trying to mount it anybody have any other ideas on getting the ends back on
