Summit racing exhaust cutout??

its the $26 one... 2.5" exhaust cutout.... Im getting one.. for $15 from my friend.. I will have it closed so it runs stock most of the time, but when I race, I will open it up and have afree flowing exhaust..

what I am asking, is there any reason I shouldnt get this? I mean,, it will give me hp gains when its open yes???

here is the direct link... ok so if I mounted that before the cats on the midpipe/dp,,, would that be ok?? if it was closed,, that wouldnt hurt anything would it??

i doubt it....the exhaust system would still be a closed system and with the cats in place, i don't see a reason why it would throw a CEL. my friend has one on his 350z...damn!!

actualy, you will run the risk of throwing a cel because you have alot less exhaust flowing over the second O2 while you still have the full amount flowing over the first, the difference in metering could throw the computer off. just a (thought)

no, I ment would I throw a cel when I had it closed.... I know one will come on when I have it open, but when its closed,, it will be just like a normal exhaust..

i dont see why u would throw the CEL while its closed its still runnin through both cats
