i was taking off the damaged cover shroud from the bottom of the car and the 2 screws that attach to the body at the wheel well sheared off, does anyone have any hints as to how to take out the left over screw.

I had the same thing happen. You have to drill it out. They've welded a nut to the body and the screw is rusted to the nut.

I found drilling took too long and went through a couple bits. I ended up using a dremel tool and heavy-duty cutting wheel to cut off the nut that is welded. There were three I could access, two on the fender, one on the crossbar underneath. The others are hidden inside the subframe of the front of the car.

i think i went through all my drill bits as well, i tried using an extractor near the one at the brake line and snapped it off in the hole i drilled ARRGH!
managed to re-drill that hole again (not pretty though) and used stainless screws instead.
