New purchase

Hi everyone.

I'm new to Mazdas and was wondering if I could get a little direction. I'm considering buying a 2003 6i 5M with 130k miles on it and was wondering what sort of things I should look at/for while considering this purchase. I've checked a number of forums to see if there was any sort of a newbie FAQ, but couldn't find one. Does anyone know where one is?

Also, I've read that the clutches tend to be a little iffy. The one I'm looking at doesn't have a whole lot of pedal movement and I can't tell if it's supposed to be that way or if it's a sign of something going bad. The clutch engages and it shifts fine, but I don't want to pick it up have to replace part or all of the clutch system right away.

Thanks for the help.

The clutch is a little funky, yes. You can have it adjusted or you can get used to it (I chose the latter). Other than that, there's nothing specific with the N/A Mazda6. Just check the usual stuff you'd check when buying a used car.

You'll also want to make sure that all recalls/TSBs have been addressed:
