and they had a 2003.5 p5 in the showroom. i noticed that the subwoofer in the back causes the the floor panel in the back to sit up about 2 inches higher than in my p5. also the one i saw was red and it had black pinstripes. :wtf: who the hell wants pinstripes? then i looked inside and was pleasantly surprised to see that leather is now an option, and i have to say wow does it look nice. sorry i dont have pics of it.

not sure, the items listed before i believe were optional. i dont know of any changed they made that are now standard. for example, the 2002 had no side markers. the 2002.5 came standard with side markers.

leather became an option for the 2002.5 models

i guess since the "floor" is higher now, it is flat when you lower the back seats. before there used to be a rise b/c of the seats.

What is the difference between 2003 and 2003.5 P5 and how can I tell. I just picked up a 2003 P5 this week?

If you do not have a roof rack, and you do have a sub in the spare tire, then you have a 2003.5. BTW, I also used to have an A4 :) I loved it, but I got rid of it as it approached 50,000 miles. It was a 98.5 1.8T quattro with sport package. I was running SP5000's on that car and I find the P5 handles even better than the A4, I do miss the acceleration though (mine was chipped, .8bar)

The dealership forgot to install the roof rack, its still in the box. I have no sub in the spare. I guess that makes it a 2003...whatever. I have found as was mentioned in other posts, the stock tires suck in the snow. The first full day i had the car we got 4 inches. I will get snow tires for next winter.
