I just had my 2003.5 Mazdaspeed in for its 3000 mile service. I mentioned the hesitation problem to the "Speed" technician and he had never heard that before. I called Mazda NA at 1-800-222-5500 and they also said that this was the first time they had heard of the problem. I also asked the dealer if they had received a TSB and he said no! Mazda NA suggested that i go to nhtsa.dot.gov and look up customer complaints, but there is not a listing availale for the Mazdaspeed. I know some people are saying that Mazda is working on the problem, but i am not very optomistic as of yet. Has anyone had any luck with getting a straight answer from anyone at Mazda? PS i live in AR and my Mazda dealer has sold 9 speeds this year but i am the only one complaining about the hesitation!!
