The Ford website now has a "Build and Price" for the Transit Connect Wagon. If you want a 7-seater, the price is CAH-RAZY! I thought the car was supposed to be a Mazda5 competitor, but it costs thousands more.

Ever option out an Odyssey or Sienna. Come back and see who's crazy. In my opinion it's more of a middle ground between the 5 and the "full size" minivans from Honda, Nissan, Toyota and Chrysler. According to specs I saw the short wheel base model is about a half foot shorter in length than the 5 yet about a foot taller. The LWB is closer to the big mini-vans. I think pricing could be considered high if you are cross shopping a 5. But if you are cross shopping one of the other Japanese vans then things start to look a lot more appealing.
It isn't for everyone but it is for someone. Kudos to ford for bringing over a reasonably priced, functional work/family van.
The grey one looks fine to me because it's been reworked. The van would look like an ambulance or some kinda delivery vehicle (check out that tall roof line) off the lot.
