I found this kinda interesting, I wonder if it is true?

BETCHA DIDN'T KNOW THIS

Ever heard of Lagardere SCA? No? Well, maybe because its a French company.

OK .. have you ever heard of Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S.?

Probably not, but Hachette Filipacchi publishes some magazines you may have heard of.
Those magazines would be Elle, Car & Driver, Women's Day and others.

Now its getting familiar, isn't it?

OK, so we have Car & Driver which is published by Hachette Filipacchi which is owned by Lagardere SCA which is a French Corporation.

So .. are we finished here?

No, not quite.

It seems that a man who has been the news quite a bit of late owns around two percent of Lagardere SCA.

About $90 million dollars worth.

His name?

Saddam Hussein.

Frances position is an interesting one, dont you think?

interesting.
Of course, the French have been selling arms to Saddam since 1991. They also had a deal worked out where if a war resolution came to the table in the UN, that if the French exercised their veto, they would recieve a deep discount on millions of barrels of oil from Iraq.

I'm still not sure how the French see being allied with a terrorist is safer than being with the US, in ANY manner. Something just 'aint quite right 'bout them there fellers'. Maybe it's all the BO confusing them.

hahahahhahaa, if saddam hussein is involved with the french when it comes to military matters, HES DONE FOR!

hey buster i hear ya...we sell all kinds of weapons to everyone...usually we sell weapons and then they use them to attack us 10-15 years later. its kinda like how we trained and outfitted the Taliban to get rid of the russians and look where that got us...Reagan and Bush(the first one) sold weapons to Iran..fun times..

Its truely amazing how those that hate capitolism have no problems profitting from it. This sounds like a bit of a stretch though. What was the reference for this.
Also how much of Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. doesLagardere SCA own?

And the US hasn't supplied weapons to the middle east or Iraq?!

Sure have, however France and Russia have been known to ship weapons to Iraq that they are no allowed to have by the UN resolutions that both Russia and France has signed! i doubt we haven't broken those on an occasion though.

not related to magazines but this is why saddam has to be taken out of power...

Well it is war, and he has to do that so his troops don't just surrender or run away. I would rather see him gone for employing **** rooms to subdue enimees. In which women are ***** mutiple times while being video taped and leter filed on shelf with hundreds of other such tapes.
