2013~2016 Low offset wheels

Hi, I'm new to the Mazda world and just got a 2014 cx-5. 2.0 petrol 2WD

I want to fit new wheels. I can get a very good deal on Mitsubishi Outlander wheels. Technically they fit:
225/55R18 102W
18x7
5x114.3
ET: 38
67.1 bore
Is the offset acceptabel?
As per the internet et38 is ok. However I'm concerned as 50 is original.

Anyone has any advice or experience?
Pictures would be really great. For reference.

Thanks in advance!

Take a look at my thread here:

In summary, I am now using a 17x8 ET45 wheel (OEM was 17x7.5 ET50, very similar to the CX-5) - Based on this experience, I would deviate no more than +- 5mm from OEM offset, ideally +-2mm.

Your steering will likely be noticeably heavier, more bump steer while cornering over uneven road surfaces, and slightly less on-centre stability.

According to google, the 225/60R18 tire is approximately 3.1% to 3.2% larger in diameter than the 225/55R18, just outside of suggested 3% max. deviation.

I would suggest to spend the extra time and money to find something closer to OEM specification.

They will fit fine, and at only 7" wide (same as stock), they will be 7mm out from their current position. To most people, that will look better in terms of fitment.

Do you have a picture?

Hereby the photos. Vehicle wheels combo is AI generated, but looks nearly similar to what it will looks like in real life.
I think it looks great.
