While out on a cruise tonight with a couple friends, we came to a long straight country road and everybody was giving it their all on the straight. So to keep up, I downshifted and punched it. I looked over to my boost gauge and it was reading 8, then 9 psi before I let off for fear something would blow up. What would randomly cause it to boost that high? I installed my fmic about a month ago, and I never saw that much boost before.
But when I re did all the vac lines for the bov and the wga, I blew through the wga vac line and could push a little air through it. And from what I've read, that shouldn't happen. (could this also be part of my P0171 code??)
The second problem I have is that I'm running super rich. If I accelerate quick, I can see a puff of smoke out the rear view mirror, and buddies that have been behind me say that it reeks of fuel. I've reloaded the stock super map onto my ssafc multiple times and it doesn't seem to fix anything.
I'm planning on taking it to the shop sometime next week to see if I have another cracked exhaust mani, which could also lead to my P0171 code, and having them check O2 sensors to make sure they're in working order. I've also gotten the P0140 which is the secondary O2 sensor not getting signal, but I've got the corksport 3in exhaust with the no fouler for the sensor.
There's so many things wrong all of a sudden, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
