Hey can anyone confirm that the NA mazda 6 for 2011 changed gear ratios to a close gear setup? Does anyone know if higher speeds will now run at lower rpm in 6th?
Not sure about the previous years but I just bought a 2011 with the 6sp and the gearing is close. That transmission really boosts the cars fun factor for me.
Hmm, I havent read anything about any kind of an update. I did read that the final drive gearing was made taller to accomplish slightly improved fuel economy......... again this was something that is just written in passing in one magazine that I read.
