Current tires: 225/65/r17 https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tires/nitto-terra-grappler-g2/p/29645 Just concerned about 245s rubbing on the wells, but if that won't be an issue then these are the tires I want to get.

I just bought two replacement wheel arches/wells from eBay to replace the horrible, rusted ones on my 2002 Protege5. Has anyone used these before and how much should the metal overlap? This is galvanized steel too, so should I grind the edges and apply weld through primer first? I have a plasma...
