I have a 2007 CX-9. The taligate is open but the locking mechanism is stuck in the locked position. How to I get it to the unlock position so I can shut the taligate? (pressing unlock on remote, doesn't work) Thx

Lately, my tailgate latch handle has become stuck in the compressed position. I have to push it back to be able to close the the tailgate. I blasted WD-40 under and around the latch and it worked for awhile but now it seems sticky again. Anyone experience this? I would like to get access to...
