smart turn

I just purchased a 2014 CX-5 without a touch screen and I'd like to turn on the smart turn feature. The dealer actually wants to charge me for doing this, which seems crazy to me, as I could have asked them to do this for me before I bought it had I known it existed. It really can't be that...
