proximity sensor

It's been quite a while, but I clearly remember seeing a write-up of another mazda (RX8 i believe) OEM proximity sensor installed in a MS3 as a simple plug and play...had the mazda part number and the exact how-to with pictures as well. Does this ring any bells to anyone? I can't find it on this...
