I'm looking to spruce up my engine bay, and i notice a lot of people who have different paint jobs on their valve covers. Would you recommend getting it powder-coated or can i just paint it?

Hey guys, just got my 2008 speed 3 GT 3 months ago and thinking of going with black wheels. Taking slow at first and wondering if it is better to get them powder coated or sand them down and spray them myself...any info would be great. Thanks
