2008 Mazda5 5MT Sport w/ Popular Package
Here you go you all naysayers, LOL (lol2)

Directly from the Zoom-Zoom magazine (Spring 2009, A Mazda publication). The dealer enrolled me when I got my 08, it is a decent magazine, cool readings.

I scanned the 2 pages if interested (see attachments)

Some excerpts from the article:
  • The 54-year-old real state investor owns 16 of the most exclusive vehicles on the planet including a Lamborghini Miura, A Lamborghini/Minardi Formula One, 3 Ferraris, 2 Jaguars, a Lotus -- and a Mazda5
  • "I wanted something practical but I didn't want anything boring and depressing. The Mazda5 wasn't too big, wasn't too small, and it had a nice look about it"
  • Dilorio was blown away when he got behind the wheel. "I thought, wow! I love it! It's peppy, it's fast, it has great brakes, great steering. You can throw it around turns and it actually sticks. I bought it on the spot."

yeah I got mine yesterday and read it today pretty cool. Now with my 1st mazda I never got one of these do they send them out often?it would nice to get them often:cool:

I get nearly as much satisfaction out of driving my 5 as I do my Evo-- at sane levels. In fact, I remain amazed at the chassis dynamics, the packaging, comfort--- all the reasons Dilorio cites...

Yes is good. Little details like this are a key differentiator as an owner compared to other cars I have owned to be honest. I believe it seems to come every season (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter). The also have it online, but it looks like it is behind (and does not have all the sections):

Yummm, Evo :D... What year?

I agree with regards to the sane levels. Of course is not a sports car, but it is great for the type of car it is and what you pay for it :)

Maybe as remarquian says, different editing for the Canadian fellows? Mine has this on page 64 and 65 (it is not the main article, believe me (lol2))

I also have the one you say, on pages 12-19

I just got it in the mail today, pretty cool story!

Before the Mazda5, what did you use as a daily driver? And the article mentions that you'll be buying another one soon - are you waiting to see what changes the '10s have?

And of course, be careful of any blondes who offer to paint your porch:

Julie, the blonde, was getting pretty desperate for money.

She decided to go to the nicer, richer neighborhoods around town and look for odd jobs as a handy woman. The first house she came to, a man answered the door and told Julie, "Yeah, I have a job for you. How would you like to paint the porch?" "Sure, that sounds great!" said Julie. "Well, how much do you want me to pay you?" asked the man. "Is fifty bucks all right?" Julie asked. "Yeah, great. You'll find the paint and ladders you'll need in the garage."

The man went back into his house to his wife who had been listening. "Fifty bucks! Does she know the porch goes all the way around the house?" asked the wife. "Well, she must, she was standing right on it!" her husband replied.

About 45 minutes later, Julie knocked on the door. "I'm all finished," she told the surprised homeowner.

The man was amazed. "You painted the whole porch?" "Yeah," Julie replied, "I even had some paint left, so I put on two coats!" The man reached into his wallet to pay Julie. "Oh, and by the way," said Julie, "That's not a Porch, it's a Ferrari
