hmmm... nothing spectacular or original. personally, i've owned 2 pioneer decks before (deh-p850mp and deh-p8mp) and they were solid. i think the deh-p770mp is one step above the basic decks, but one below the high end decks, but is still fully featured. they are on ebay for about $200....

If you're still under warranty, I'd get it replaced.

yeah man, get it replaced under warranty, then get a new deck...much better that way cause you have music to listen to while everything with the new deck goes through..plus it gives you something to sell.

It's bein' installed on Friday morning, and I can't wait! The unit is sittin' in it's box on the floor over there, mocking me with it's beauty.

My head unit took a s*** this past Sunday .. and while I intend to either have the unit replaced by Mazda or repair it myself, I'm gonna sell it in the end. Why the **** would I want another of the same unit that I know's gonna take yet another s*** on me? No thanks.

OK well i just bought the pioneer 770 today and had it installed, it is a nice head unit and it reads your battery voltage yay!!!! It has alot of functions and i think it makes the overall stereo sound better even though it has a lower volt output then the kenwood. I would definitely reccomend this head unit.

I alrdy took that HU back and got the Pioneer premium deh-p7700mp from sound domain with the free install kit and harness. DIY so you mold your own install kits? If your talking about installing it myself thats what I did.
