I found out there is a Free Dyno Day going on, on the 17th so if possible, I'm going to try to get the turbo in before so I can dyno :)

Not sure if its gonna happen but it would be nice.

Question, do you turboed guys use the plastic "filter" thing that comes with the bov?

what filter? for the vac line? its a good idea...

Yeah, it came with the ssqv, it looks a lot like the msp check valve. I think thats what the paper said it was, a filter put in the vac line. I just never seen any engine bays with it actually on.

we usually try to hide them. I have one on my boost gauge, but nothing else. its basically to keep crap out so it doesn't get gummed up... cheap, but ugly insurance that your crap keeps working... so really, its up to you.

lol. . ."check engine for boost"

yup, not there yet

Yep that's how it was explained to me. The maf was looking for boost and when i was running it right before i turboed. Correct me if i'm wrong just what i was told. Pretty much the ecu detected a boost leak.

idk, because I can drive my car all day without boosting.... just a question of how smart the ECU is and what it knows to expect under given conditions...

e.g.: when the RPMS are 3000, and TPS is 50%, the MAF reading should be... 3.2 when boosting, and NA it is 2.8.. something's not right, so pop goes the CEL

(pulling numbers out my ass here.. but for the sake of example, just accept it)

Accepted lol Thanks for clearing that up and explaining it in depth for me.

Cool, I might just bite myself in the nuts and go with your tuner once I get my ssafc.

I know it's a little on the pricey side but 350$ flatrate is not to bad. I thought it was until i called around and that what the price was for three dyno pulls. LDL had my car all day literally tuning it until it was done right.

I bet, 263whp on stock internals is a bold statement.

When I buy new spark plugs, which ones are the best to go with since I'll be boosting?
