Looking at setting an HID kit into my P5. I absolutely love the cutoff and look of projectors and I don't want to be one of those A**holes with blaring HID's.

Any tips? I'm looking to do Bi-xenon, I don't like not having that functionality for the country roads I drive on all the time. I don't mind modding my head lights to fit them, the right side has a few scratches from the previous owner.

those fit fine in our headlights, there are a lot of people using them simple to install and take no time at all to do.

With that kit, will I have to do any cutting etc? Curious as to this statement

"Disassemble headlights, insert threaded mounting shaft of the projector through the pre-existing hole in the back of your reflector bucket, tighten the stack with the included hardware, and you're virtually done. The optional adapter plates make alignment as pain free as possible for most applications too. "

Is that for Protege5 or just a generic?

When it comes to performance mods I can go all day long, stuff like that, ehhh. lol

thats pretty much exactly what you need to do, no cutting at all. this is a sedan light but same projectors your looking at,

damn wish i woulda saw those before i did mine 3yrs back....i ended up cutting my original housing all up and what not they work great just i guess i did a lot of unnecessary work

Wow, thanks for the pictures! So you got that actual kit? That seems really simple and relatively cost effective.

Looks good though!

you can use the 3m headlight restoration kit or really any other restoration kit...but i heard the 3m works the best

also once you get your headlights restored back to the way you want, make sure you keep a nice heavy coat of wax on them everytime you wash your car keeps them from clouding up due to the sun....i just bought another set of headlights when doing my retrofit, and heavy coat of wax, and if you want i can show you they havent clouded since ive retrofitted mine 3yrs ago

Great tip. Do you think the 3m kit will minimize some of the rock chips? Eventually I will probably get new(er) headlights and do the fogs as well.

that kit works great, i've done multiple headlights as well using it

The only cutting i've had to do was in Miata headlights, i had to cut off the little cover that goes over the bulb, but in Proteges, they unscrewed.

Got at least a positive 2 reviews already. Seem pretty popular. :)

say goodbye to my car budget for a month or 2 :P

for the price and ease of installation, you can't beat em

My review is actually for 3, i've done 2 sets of Miata headlights and a set of Protege sedan lights
