I contacted them directly for pricing and Im still waiting. If I get anything I'll post it. Id like more info on the 2 tip muffler, header and midpipe. If the midpipe is cheap it would be nice with a Racing Beat muffler.

the thunder muffler representative said this about their one US distributor

"They have finical problem at present, and we stop cooperation temporarlity."

So I assume they are having financial problems.

I contacted Protephile in the past but they do not have a website or a listing of products. Is he/she a vendor on this site?

Correct, I was a vendor here and Thunder's only U.S. rep. Unfortunately I am neither at the moment.
The economy, among other things, killed my business.
That said, despite a bad batch of custom-designed MSP manifolds, Thunder makes an amazing, but pricey, product.
I have over 140k miles on my header and exhaust and both are in perfect condition.

The header Thunder offers for the 2 does not, however, fit the U.S. version of the 2. The O2 sensor is in the wrong place.

I've been in contact with them through email and they made no mention of the Mazda 2 header they sell not being compatible with the US version. Thank you very much for mentioning this. The prices are pricey.

Can you give us a little more info on how the center dual exhaust they sell perform? As well as the down pipe. Do you recommend buying from them? What's the power gain?

Is it true that they are knock offs of HKS products?

an update from Thunder Muffler
Mazda 2 1.5 Header + Cat $520 USD
Mazda 2 1.5 Mid- pipe $260 USD

Shipping for just those 2 items $177 ouch. With shipping so high and the midpipe costing so much its a much better idea to get a custom midpipe done locally.

For the header I think thats a fair price with a cat. Id be interested to know if the O2 sensor doesnt fit for USDM models because it needs a longer wire which is a easy fix or it wont fit due to something getting in the way.

Im also very interested in the Dual Tip center exit exhaust but they didnt provide pricing on it yet. Id expect however much it costs you would then add $100 for shipping. Wish they had a installed picture.

for the header, just look at the picture, then look at the stock manifold and try to visualize the header in its place. take note of all the connections, and how they appear in each place. if something is glaring at you as looking out of place, it would be safe to scratch it off the list. if it looks like only the sensors need longer wires, or something, then consider it.
