CX-9 Windshield Gap

:
2016 Mazda CX-9
Hey everyone, so a lot of you know, I’ve gotten my windshield replaced at my local Mazda dealership. I got an OEM windshield, yet the gap on the top looks very big. I’ve never really paid attention to the windshield gaps before getting my windshield replaced, but after comparing it to the CX-9’s on their lot, it looked like the gap was massive.

I asked the service manager if this (the gap) was normal and he said it was. I was wondering if you guys could share some pictures of the gaps on your windshield and let me know whether or not mine was installed correctly.

The windshield lines up with the frame of the car on the sides so I know it’s of correct size; however, the top gap looks so prominent.

Thanks in advance everyone!

My 2018 does have a gap, but I don't think it's that wide. I'll take a closer look tomorrow.

Turns out my windshield gap is just about the same. I've never had my windshield replaced.

Ditto. My original windshield measures about 5 mm from the edge of the glass to the black rubber gasket against the steel roof.
