Pogo, my PR5, got hit by an idiot in a camry. Thank GOD he had insurance because I was ready to kill if he didn't.
Here's the edited version of the scoop:
I was cruisin home from work around 7pm down a not too crowded highway, when this camry I was approaching was swerving back and forth in his lane(which was slowing down for a light). He seemed anxious to get over, but didn't. i slowed as i approached to watch him and he settled down. So i continued on my merry way, watching his car as i pass and just when I think I am past him *boop* he hits me! right in between the rear driver's side door and the door frame. his POS camry's fender bent to a crease and slid right into the crack where the door shuts just in front of the wheel. grrrr!! $1500+ in damage
his side: "I didn't see you. you were in my blind spot."
My side: How the hell can I be in your blind spot if you hit the REAR of my car?!?!?!
heh....but I kept my kool, even pretending to be friends with him and that everything was aaaaight, just so he would stay while I called the cops. I even had him following me into the store where I called the cops and offering to buy me dinner before we parted(i'm good).
By the time we went our separate ways, he was doing burnouts leaving the scene trying to show off (cuz we were talking about cars and strip clubs and stuff). I said to myself "Diane, you did a good job finding out what kind of person he really is."
I could tell that he was being an antsy smartass trying to cut my tail-end off like the stOOpid little riceboy he was.
psssh...try to buy me dinner....he had a wife and kid waiting at home for him.
but I am happy now. I finally got my baby back. The rental wasn't bad though. The insurance adjuster first put me in a cavalier, and I wasn't having anything to do with that car!! I was only in it for a day and sweet talked the guy at the rental place to upgrading me and not charging me. I love it!
(k)
