Picking up my first Mazda…for my teen driver kids. I found this site as looking for info on updating CMU firmware to add CarPlay so the have no reason to pick up a phone while driving. I plan on keeping the car for a while and hope my kids may want to learn to wrench a little bit. It’s s good to have a pool of knowledge when needed and this seemed like an active community. Hopefully at some point I’ll be able to contribute occasionally.

May I ask which one you're getting?

2016 CX-5 Touring. Picked it up today. Daughter was pretty excited driving it off the lot. A pretty cool experience for dad too.

Have had a mazda 2, mazda 3 and now a CX-5. All in some form of red (bright, maroon, and now soul which is my fav). Figure I'm part of the mazda clan for life and found this forum. Looking forward to the future of a CX-5 electric car. The hybrids arent doing it for me atm.

EDIT: Just had a look again around EVs and the rumored EZ 60 looks pretty nice. Side note lol about every new EV ditching the logo just for the name. Very telsa. M-A-Z-D-A. Boring!
