currently everyone either around work or around town is planning either to spend cash on systems. once i tell them i plan on going all polk audio momo classic series they say i'm nuts for spendin that type of cash. but once they see my head unit is a pioneer avx-7300 they kinda have fate in what i want. 4 10's in a hatchback isn't that extreme. so i was wondering what everyone would do if it came down to speaker systems. me personally i have always liked polk audio and i have owned almost every single company on the u.s. market.

I didn't know what a "bump" in your car was until I read the thread., now I can see that it is some kind of street term for stereo system.

Damn I feel old some days.

2 Rockford fosgate HE 12s powered by a R/F 700s.

Ceej, he's referring to subwoofers. ;)

<~~~factory mazdaspeed sound in my P5....sounds nice. Not too "ghetto-fabulous". I don't need to go around 'bumping" the "Honey" and "You Got Served" soundtracks.

"Honey" and "You Got Served" are my two oscar nods this year. Rarely does a film come along that reaches into the human soul like these two.

"These films are passionate, aware and a triumph of the human spirit" claims Pope John Paul III

"The most enthralling and factual story ever told by man since the Bible" quotes Margaret Thatcher

"Who the **** is funding these things??!!" exclaims Turbo Matty P

I personally will not (bling) my trunk w/ subwoofers, the only thing I will do is replace the factory cd/radio player and the stock speakers. My choice for the headunit would be an Alpine-9807 and for the speakers probably either- Alpine, Lighting Audio, or Polk Momo

Sub...I agree man...I bought the P5 for it's versatility and cargo room. I can't justify losing cargo room for a sub box. Unfortunately we can't run 6x9's, because I have a decent set of Pioneers that push some decent bass - decent for me that is.

I plan to add an amp and replace the factory speakers down the road; I'll keep the stock HU though -- no theft factor there!

I used the factory MSP sound system and it works great. It took up very little space and still retains 85% of the functionality of the back cargo area.

Stock 5.25" pioneer spare tire sub. Got all the nice JL stuff to install. Just no time to mold a fiberglass box right now.

I actually thought this was a thread about 'getting it on' in the car. Oops.
