What is this box in my CX-5 GT with tech? Is it the amp?

I was folding down the seats today using the release from the backseat and as I was folding the drivers side back seat, I noticed a box mounted to the frame that had 4 wires coming from it. I wasn't sure what it was, but I was thinking it might be the amp that is supposedly part of the Bose system. I also thought it might have to do with the Mazda CAN bus system. Not really sure. The box had a barcode and a part number, but didn't have any luck identifying it when doing a google search. Any ideas? It would be nice if it is the amp. Up to this point I was thinking it might not really have one.

The bose system does in fact have an amp. But thats not it. Its in the right side foot well and is 200-300 watts. Cant remember the exact wattage.

I saw that a while ago too - I asked the Mazda service dept about it and they said it was the control unit for the 'ejector seat' system. Only on models with Moon roof.

I would guess it has to do with the seat sensor for the seatbelt/airbag.

I was hoping it controlled the smoke screen.
