What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

EDIT: canceled the 4Xs and went with the General bc it has better wet and light snow traction. I hope to get a summer tire setup going so this is a good compromise for me. I see these as the poor man's Conti DWS in term's of what it delivers and also since General is the sister company to Conti.

@Mopho - nicely done on the bike rack!

You will never miss another puddle, I garauntee it! LOL LEDs I'm assuming...

Yep LEDs; cool white, water proof, and flush mount.. Clicky click. Yep can't miss a puddle, patch of ice, pot hole, man hole, banana peel, doo doo, a snake, and many other potentially hazardous obstacles...but they really help you see your surroundings in the dark. Fits perfectly..looks like it was meant to be there IMO.

Hmm. I like. Price is good too!

It's a ridiculously cheap mod but the look and function gives it a Lexus-like value. Wiring will require a lot of patience but is pretty rewarding at the end. I referenced the wiring from here, the difference is the puddle lights are powered via the dome/map lights and got some more ideas from mz3forums.

Oh awesome, thanks for the link! Not scared of cutting/wiring... :D

Got the 5 back from the bodyshop today. Had a good sized scratch from something on the slider and rear fender. Drove a Ford Fusion all week while it got fixed. That car felt HUGE, and I was happy to get back in my light, lithe, fun, stick shift Mazda5 again! How odd is that?

Washed her today and scrubbed all of the bugs off and straight razored the windshield.

Changed oil and filter. It's still feels strange not having to pull out any tools (other than the ramp, 4" 3/8 dia. drain hose, and two plastice bags) to do the job. It's also nice to be able to drain it hot.

Purchased the '12 curt hitch. Hope it fits without a fight.

Washed her today.

Oh forgot to mention, last week I found out how to hook up the seat belts to the clips without them getting out again. I'm sure it says it in in the manual.

Ripped it up and down the highway on the way to the movies- lots of bumps and dips plus high speed sweeper corners with bumps. I cranked the rear shocks up 2 clicks each a few days ago- I think I'm finally 100% happy with the shock setup on my BCs.

Experienced a "clunking" sound from my suspension, not sure what it could be? Only happens at low speeds while turning. Probably coilover binding? Got to check it out in the morning.

I just noticed a funny suspension sound too. It reminds me of the plungery sound I noticed after swapping the front struts on my wife's '03 Cavalier for budget-friendly Monroe QuickStruts. I haven't been able to find anything actually wrong with the Cavalier's suspension, so it's got to be the new struts.

I'm guessing the Five's right-front strut has likewise developed a funny noise, though it still seems to be perming adequately ... the car only has 16,000 miles, but our roads are rather nasty, so hopefully it isn't anything nastier like a balljoint. Planning to have the dealer service department look at it when it's in for the 20-month oil change ... hoping they'll be able to replace whatever's gone bad under warranty, otherwise I'll have have to decide whether to pay for labor or to attempt a repair myself on a car I haven't yet located a Haynes manual for!

Got my add on Satellite radio installed. I'm pleased with it.The reception is good and clear. Since my deck isnt sat ready I had to use the aux input.
