What an intercooler sealing sleeve?

Was looking at the MSP parts list, and it says there are 2 not shown intercooler sealing sleeves. What are those little guys?

Did a search and brought up nothing.

When I took my piping off to do the intake swap, I did not notice any "sealing sleeves." And I leak boost somewhere. Maybe this is why??

Rubber boots on the endtanks of the stock SMIC. However they probably got lost as mine have. Go pick up a used bicycle intertube and cut off a section..

I bet that's where all my boost is going!
I get a squeeling noise when I drop the hammer. And I don't mean tires.

Bicycle tube , eh? Does that work better than the Mazda part? Just curious. Seems like a bike tube isn't very thick, but I guess it works?


Also, when installing with the rubber on there, is it wise to lube it a little with something, or does that just increase the chance of it coming off later?

I don't see tape working, but it's worth a shot. I used a little wd-40 so the boost pipe would slide over the inlet/outlet.

You have a whistling sound, do you still have the stock bpv?

Yup, still have the BPV.

My boost will spike to 8, then rapidly drop back to 6. I put the carb spring on the WGA to get a little more boost, but after the boost goes back to 6, the car kind of falls on its face it seems.

I had a high pitch squeeling when i bought my car, the turbo main journal bearing was going out, $50 part...just hope you know what your doing, sounds REALLY loud, high pitch, constant, only when under boost, and about 4000 rpm or higher.....get peoples attention though right before you let off to vent air....poosh
