Weird noise while driving today

Well I was driving to my girlfriends house and I wasn't really paying attention. I needed to pass someone and I gave my car about 60% throttle in 4rth gear down at like 2200 rpm. I didnt do it for long (maybe 2 sec or less) but I heard a very weird noise. It sounded like . . . you were to throw a bunch of wires at a wall. Not that loud but just that type of noise. I know im not giving you guys much info but its been bothering me. No CEL or anything . . . maybe I just ran over something weird as my mind was wandering.

Was it a clicking sound coming from the engine bay?

It wasnt really a clicking noise. It was just a one time noise like cords were slapping around for a second in my engine bay. Im sure if it was a problem a CEL would be on. I must have just run over something . . . I was looking forward and didn't see anything though.

Did it sounded more like a rattle?

Well I'm not sure what it could be then, I was going to guess it was the notrious MS6 shudder/stutter, where it clicks for a few seconds and kind of lags or hesitates when accelerating every now and then. I'm not sure if anyone ever found out what it was, but my guess is its the cam driven fuel pump trying to feed the hungry engine.

i always hear weird s*** when i dont have my radio blasting that freaks me out...so i keep my radio up and no more weird noises...when the car dies while im driving then i know its bad lol

Yes it sounded like rattling. Very brief one time noise. I definately felt something weird while i was pushing the gas. Maybe it was hesitation / shudder but I took me foot off the accel so fast im not sure.

I have one of the later 07 speed 6's so could it still be the fuel pump? I haven't gotten any cel's or anything so I doubt its anything seroius.

If it is the usual stutter, then nothings wrong, just something you gotta deal with every now and then. I don't know if anyones found a way to fix it, if they have please chime in. But I'm sure this is all it was. It doesn't happen to often, but is a little annoying when it does.

Yeah first time ive felt any form of hesitation with my car. Except of course with heat soak
