When I am at a complete stop I feel a vibration in my brake pedal. I have never had this vibration until tonight. I can also hear a rubbing type noise while it vibrates. I am changing my brake pads this weekend. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what might be causing this vibration and noise. The car does not stop any different. THe vibration only happens when I am completely stopped.

Look for a loose bolt and see if there is anything rubbing or bouncing off the brake master cylinder under the hood.... A hose or stereo wire..

I'll check that out. I just put an intake on, so I'll see if when that was done a bolt was knocked loose.

The intake is probably rubbing the master Cylinder.

You can cut the pipe that goes into the throttle body shorter by a 1/4 inch or take an angle grinder to the end of the master cylinder and shave an 1/8th off it.

If you have an ebay intake you might have to cut about 1/4-1/3 of in inch off the first pipe to keep it from hitting the master cyl. i had to do this for mine many miles ago.....

I looked at the intake and the first piece of pipe is sitting right beside the brake fluid bottle and master brake cylinder. I will get my boyfriend to cut it and see if that fixes it. Thank you for tthe advice.
