valve cover

the actual aluminum piece, or the plactic cover? barely anything for both - the aluminum cover only has to seal around a rubber gasket, and nothing structural. so, just enough to prevent leaks.

yea the aluminum peice. just did the 1.8 coil swap so no need for the plastic cover now. my stock valve cover bolts came off VERY easily. wanted to make sure i tighten the new cover enuf. as it is now, the valve cover is not sitting flush on the head....u can see a tiny bit of gasket all the way around. i have not seen any leaks however, so i guess im good

like i said, you don't want to over tighten it, as that could damage the rubber gasket. and, i just check my service manual, and no torque value is given other than a proper order....
