one thing i wonder about the whole 'rebuilt stock turbo' thing is spool characteristics. does it spool like stock? or faster or slower?

oh good, i was hoping for a little later spool from that setup. maybe make it easier to not boost when i'm tryin to drive mellow. and push peak torque and hp further into the powerband.

Did you dyno before putting the turbo on? Any idea what type of gains you saw from the stage 2? I was hoping the stage 2 would break the 300whp/300wtq barrier.

im strongly considering the T3/T4 with the ewg. cant beat the price really...

if, and when i change turbos, i'm goin ewg for sure. may as well go all out ya know. i would think one would want better control of boost at that point.

easier to tune as well.

Yes hood pins has been installed .

Got 260whp ans 268 torque with the K04 with same mods .

so in short. 260 before the bnr turbo. 287 after. thats a nice gain imho.

So did you get those gains off the same tune as well, or was that with a new tune for the turbo as well?

not to mention 18psi is real conservative for this turbo. You could easily push 20+ psi and be well over 300hp/trq
