Uh oh, the S2000 might lose it's crown to Ford

Oh yeah, the suspensin tuning they did for the '04 S2000 was very minimal. The only thing they really did was to improve the balance by inducing more understeer and increasing the rim size to 17's instead of 16's.

The 0-60 time was also supposedly decreased by 0.5 to 1.0 seconds over the older S2000's 0-60 in 5.4 seconds.

Wait ai minute, the mazda RX-8 has the highest HP output per N/A liter. Based on actual displacement, anyway.

Nothing beats a rotary for highest HP per liter.

I don't care what it's called or what anyone says, this car is HOT!

Very true, but no NA rotary can match the torque output of a piston engine. Rotary engines make gobs of power if turbocharged. Similar to a turbine engine. The faster you can make it spin, the more power it will make. The secret to the rotary is balance. Something spinning around a central shaft will always be more efficient than something gyrating up and down. But for low rpm torque, pistons can't be beaten.

I agree that Fiesta looks like the Focus WRC.but I WOULDN'T buy one.

As the the HSC or the 2005 NSX,I think they should just keep the NSX name cuz....it sounds better. That's awesome that it'll have 300hp but since the current NSX already has 290,shouldn't the next one have at least more than 10 added,c'mon!!As for looks,it badass, the rear and the tailights remind me of the Enzo Ferrari.

Oh yeah,it is good that they are keeping the NSX a V6 cuz putting a V8 into it will defeat the purpose of it being a light weight sports car

Oh, I forgot that it is currently name the HSC. I've read other places that it will be turned into the NSX. But the collest thing is that the new tranny is,......SMG style baby! Paddle shifters.....

And it's NA, not turbo. I think the power will be increased by the time it goes to market. I'd be satisfied with 350hp. But, here's the BIG "but". The old NSX has aluminum body panels. These are all carbon fiber like the Enzo. So it will have more power even at 300hp, and much lighter than the current NSX. Good combination.

Very true. The New 04's S2000's are a tad quicker. But i'd still take a 01-02 S2000 over the new one's, b/c of the new front headlight's and overall finish. The 01-02 S2000 is like A 03MSP compared to 03 regular Protege ES. The older S2000's look nicer and has a More overall finish. I would rather buy the Golf RS6 or Rally Focus RS over the Ford "Fiesta".

I like the new headlights, and the new LED tail lights, but I don't like the new front fascia and the new "veilside" looking rear bumper. Looks like crap to me. Also, I think I'd miss the 9000 screaming RPM's. But screw 9000, I'm going for 11,000 in the future after some headwork.;)

My bad, I guess I didn't read close enough. It's not actually called the NSX yet either, but I've read other places that it will be the next NSX.

.............never in a billion years would I ever trade a Honda for a Ford (or any other American car).

I'll never get rid of my S2000. It is a car that will increase in value in many years. My plans are to turn it into an all out track car that's stripped down to 2300lbs, revs to 11,000 supercharged rpm, and pumps out 300 to 350hp at the rear wheels. Oh yeah, and on slicks because that's the only thing that will keep the wheels from spinning.

Yo Ben!! How are ya? I will tell you..... In a few years, I may consider an S2000. I really do like that car. Since; we already have a sedan at home, a true 2 seater would be okay. I may also look at the RX-8 in 3 or 4 years, too. I will be hanging onto my MAZDASPEED for at least that long.

If Ford produces this new Festiva, Honda will lose it's crown having the highest horsepower/liter motor ever produced.

Is that a production record, or for any car produced period? I'm surprised one of the Can Am Porsche's doesn't hold the outright record. If it's production, then the Festiva would be disqualified, because the one in the article is their rally car prototype.

I wouldn't buy one either...cuz it has that dirty little four letter F-word on the front....FORD.

I'm a former Focus owner...so put the flamethrower away.

Sure it can, liter per liter. Find me an N/A 1.3L engine that makes as much TQ as the rotary. Besides, they could always make the elliptical path larger on the current rotary and have more TQ and less HP (equiv to stroking). It's all about design.
