Hey guys and gals. does the P5 have type F or G transmissions? Or is it a new tranny I'm not aware of? I'm looking for a LSD for our car.....

It's a G series. There is a Quaiffe diff out for it that runs about $1200 or so.
THanks, I was hoping. I, too saw the Quaiffe for the G, hoped it would work on our car.
Thanks, T! Let me know how the super install is going.

I like learning about our car and I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Can some one fill me in.

Thanks

Hi Todd, feel free to PM me anytime w/ questions. You asked about the transmission post. I'm putting a limited-slip differential (the "LSD") in my car (see how differentials work here, LSD's are on page 6 or 7....) And I needed to know the type of transmission we had (just which model). we have a type "g", the most recent mazda differential. The limited slip differential will reduce the likelihood of one wheel breaking loose and starting to spin (it's the diff that allows thatn to happen in the first place). For dragging, racing, and driving in slick conditions, a LSD improves driveability and minimizes wheelspin by not allowing one wheel to break like that. For turbo (which I am going to be eventually), it's a must-have for drag racing.
