TWM Performance Short Shifter

I just received my TWM Performance Short Shifter and less than an hour later it's installed in my 2009 3 5Door. This thing is great, the instructions were clear and concise. Absolutely no problems during install and the test drive was sweet. Nice short and precise shifts. If anyone was on the fence about getting one of these, just do it, you won't be disappointed. The main reason I got this was the fact that I am on the short side (5"6") and with the seat in the correct position for me I found that the rearward shifts forced my arm into the seat and it wasn't very comfortable. Now my arm comes nowhere near the seat and just so much more enjoyable to drive.

Thank you for your input. I am interested in one. I am 5'3. ha.
my question is this: I have a custom shift knob specifically fitted for the deep Mazda 3 shifter and boot. is the short shifter the same fit, or is it more shallow?

I hope you understand what I am talking about.

I just went out and measured the stock shifter and the TWM shifter. The dimensions from the top of the shifter down to the boot support ring on both are 51mm. The thread length for the shift knob is also the same on both shifters at 35mm. I would think that with those two dimensions being the same on both shifters that your shift knob should work fine.
