TWISFM'S Turbo Build

no completely i beleive just everything that was connected...all the sensors...its just hanging down on the transmission now

I think J-cell just wanted something to do all labor day weekend cause that seems like a lot of unnecessary removal of parts. (evil)

nah man we need to be studying....i just fail way to much with the coolant tap...

he does this stuff in his sleep.

its really not that bad..except all the bolts and screws....arent organized... although i have shown jcell's bolts before just random bolts...and he knows what they go to..its ridiculous... here are some pics...

nah, not really. taking the IM off makes taking the bolt that holds the oil filter out of teh car a LOT easier, it also gives a lot more space to properly run the lines and make sure everything fits properly

we took off the header for obvious reasons, the coolant side mount for ease of access, the battery to get leverage on the EGR, the intake for obvious reasons, and the TB to get more leverage on the EGR.

that ******* EGR would not come off, and without taking that out the IM is a lot harder to remove

there is a logic to my madness. i have removed far more on my car and put everything in a pile, then put everything back together no problem.

the ONLY reason TWISFM's car is not running right now is because a coolant adaptor was the wrong piece, and to avoid having done all this work for no reason we decided to simply bum rides and wait until we get that bolt

peace

if that was my car i would have already dremmel that damn EGR out already, then bought a new one and called it a day

but alas..... its not my car

Don't trip about the bolts dude, there is only like 4 or 5 different sizes for the whole car excluding the specialty ones.

plus there is only like 5 laying around, and 4 of them go to the coolant thermostat housing

I'm inspired! Glad your turboing I want to so bad but I have to rebuild my engine first..it has 137,000m. good luck with your build
