I'm looking for a turbo and i was just wondering which one should i go with w/o getting the engine internals? gt30171/6r or gt2871r...what do u guys think? i just dna want to blow the engine

You can go with any of those and the engine will be fine AS LONG AS you have proper tuning done. If your going to be running high boost, your probably going to want to use a Cobb AP to get rid of the load cap issue. The stock motor comes with forged pistons and rods already. There a a few speed 6's making 450+ whp on the stock block.

Also make sure you have the supporting mods for those BT's

Forged internals on stock motor? I did not know this, than why do people blow these motors?

They're not forged, I'm looking at a piston right now,, and I'm pretty sure it's cast..

they are forged (according to a post over on MSF). they are just not "beefy forged".

people blow the engines cuz they like setting their BT boost to 24psi and boosting at 2000 rpms

People usually blow there motors due to poor tune, lean conditions, too much boost, Hitting too much boost down low in a higher gear..
