Tunning Questions

I know first things first " use the search tool" but I cant find one after search for a map that is compatible with my car. I just got the splitsecond afc in and am wanting to jump up to 10 lbs. Iv never had any experience tuning a vehicle so having some where to start would be nice. I do have a friend that is... okay at basics but not writing a full tune. Any direction would be greatly thankful.

There are no flash tune options for any 3rd gen protege. So you won't find a map like that if that's what you're looking for.

You can ether go with piggy back and tune that way as you have already found out. By only getting split second results on your search.

Or you go stand alone

those are the only two options

Maybe I miss understood the question. But tuning takes a long time of trial and error. A lot of reading theory and watching videos. As well as looking at logs and maps you find online. Logging at original maps from manufacturers also helps. And even then it's going to take a while of messing with it to get something decent

Do you have a boost controller and wideband? I would just run the stock map and tune it as needed but if you don't have a wideband I would not tune the car or raise the boost at all.

I do have both wideband and boost gauge. I just installed 440's today aswell and the afc yesterday. When going to adjust the forge wastegate actuator tighter for more boost it did nothing. I then took the hose from my vacuum block and tried to blow through and could not so I don't think the actuator is bad just odd to me that it did not go up.

Do not adjust the WGA arm, that is not how you change the boost. 440 injectors are major overkill for your mostly stock MSP, you can run much more boost than the motor will handle through the stock 280cc injectors. Not to mention throwing the 440s in now will make it much more difficult to tune the AFC.

I have had the Forge WGA for a few years and I do not like it, it spikes horribly when the car is cold especially in cold weather.

I agree with the spiking for sure. if not adjusting with the arm then what or where do I adjust from? I have read on here if you want to go to 10-12 lbs you should go with the
440's

I have run 10lbs for a couple years now with no problems. You use a boost controller to turn the boost up, not the WGA. 440s are required if you upgrade to a much larger turbo. The connecting rods will snap before you max out the stock injectors.
