Traxxas Nitro RC

Well I got a bug up my ass today to try to get my RC car working again (after 3 years). I drove all over & fond an open hobby shop & got a new fuel tank, a glow warmer & some Nitro fuel. I got it all taken apart tonight & got the new tank installed & got it cleaned up. Then I realized my "easy" electric starter system was no good as I lost the charger & the battery is long gone. So it wont be starting tonight. Instead of wasting over $40 on a new battery/charger I have to remove the electric start & pick up a pull starter & just put it in its place. No biggie.

I cant wait till I get it started again its so sweet. Its gonna take me a day just to get the idle right & everything but once it is, damn is this thing fast. It hits 60 mph w/ out a problem LOL Anybody want to race?

electric starters suck...i had one on my t-maxx and after my engine got hydrolocked a few times, the motor burned out and the batteries of the starter wouldnt charge...needless to say, i swapped a pull starter and threw the starter away...

Yeah I found a couple on ebay but Im gonna try the hobby store first...

Sweet I have a HPI car and T-maxx. I havent ran them in a while though...Probably because like you said, it will take a day just to tune it, and I dont feel like dealing with that! Anyway, nice car!

Reminds me, I need to get the R-40 out. Solder batteries for the X-Ray, the Clod, and the TXT-1. Not to mention get the Mountaineer powder coated. Anybody want to sell me some time?

well I went & bought the pull starter last night but upon taking it out of the package I must have "moved" or "touched" it wrong because the wound up metal "spring" inside popped out so I was screwed. After trying to wind it up for an hour I gave up so Ill have to get a new one today...
