Is there a specific reason for one over the other? Is Touchless bad because of the water being higher pressure and/or the chemicals of the materials being stronger? Wanted to get my first exterior car wash done and am having some difficulties deciding.

Touchless. There will always be a risk of damage when you go through "soft touch" washes. As long as you keep your car protected (wax or a sealant) the touchless wash will work just fine.

You're biggest mistake IS going to the car wash ( I know you prolly have to) but beware of when they hand dry your car.

Are you talking about the wax that you get put on the car via the car wash or the other type of wax one would manually do?

@Turbo, in the touchless car wash, no one or thing is hand drying your car.
